Basic /Advanced Obedience List
The following list includes some of the basic and advanced obedience commands that Teresa can help you teach your dog.
Name: Give owner attention when name is called.
Sit: Dog stationary with bottom on floor.
Down: Laying down on floor.
Come: Come when called and sit in front of owner.
Loose leash walking: Walking on leash with owner without tension on the leash. This is not a formal heel.
Heel: Walking on leash next to owner's left side with front paws never crossing the back of owner's left heel.
Place: Go to mat/bed and lay down until released.
Free: A release command given to the dog to indicate the end of a command.
Leave it: Do not interact with specific person/animal/ object.
Out/Drop it: Release an object from mouth.
Climb: Get up onto object and don't step off until released. ( such as exam table at veterinary office)
Stay: remain in a command until release word is given
Off: Get off of object
Settle: Lay down in a relaxed position (usually a dog laying on it's side)
